Junior Account Executive (INTErn)

CEW is a communications agency sharing the stories of startups in tech. We work with growing tech businesses and companies who support them, providing PR, content, social, and training support, among other services. This includes B2B startups, VCs and their partners in the wider ecosystem, challenging the traditional way of doing things.

We regularly work with founders who are new to PR or even considering their go-to-market strategy. We partner with Seed through to Series C businesses and the companies that support them, primarily venture capital firms and accelerator programmes.

Due to recent international growth, we are looking for a Junior Account Executive (Intern) to support the team across our client portfolio on an interim basis for three months. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to start their careers in PR.

In this role, you will undertake the following:

  • Creating and maintaining client folders on Google Drive, including press kits, coverage trackers, media lists, and awards and events calendars

  • Drafting social media content for both CEW and clients and using Canva to create content

  • Creating coverage reports for clients

  • Researching clients, their competitors and relevant opportunities

  • Researching and managing company databases

  • Preparing briefing sheets, fact sheets and spokesperson pitches

  • Monitoring ResponseSource and #journorequest on Twitter for opportunities and preparing relevant pitches

  • Drafting applications for awards and speaker nominations

  • Keeping up to date with the news and sharing opportunities for comment with the team

  • Administrative tasks such as note-taking in meetings

  • Supporting CEW-owned events

In return, we’ll provide

  • A salary of £18k-£24k (pro-rata)

  • 24 days holiday (pro-rata)

  • Company laptop and contribution towards your mobile phone bill (average of £25 per/mo)

  • Regular team events

  • Contribution of circa £600 per year through our health and wellness fund (pro-rata)

This role will appeal to quick learners who want to work in a fast-moving environment where you will be given more responsibility as you demonstrate your talents and abilities.

We operate a hybrid work policy with 2-3 days in our Shoreditch, London office per week. You will learn and benefit from support and day-to-day coaching from more senior team members.

If the culture, clients and way of working at CEW look like a fit, we’d love to hear from you!
