We love to do things differently, and we’re looking for a self-starter graduate intern to join the team. You’ll be ambitious and willing to learn, and given more responsibility than your average internship. We want to invest into you, building towards a full-time role as part of the CEW Communications team. As our Intern, you’ll learn various aspects of communications, PR and digital marketing. We need someone who is a fast worker and learner, with excellent communication skills. A creative mind, who is able to problem solve and tackle the task at hand.


Salary Range: £18K per annum - 3-6 month contract


  • Entrepreneurial/self-starter by nature - show us how you’ve gone above and beyond outside of your studies.

  • Work-experience - we don’t care if this is in another agency or you worked in a cafe at some point. What we want to see that you’ve got great social skills and customer service experience.

  • Higher Education - ideally majoring in a media related degree, but this isn’t a necessity!

  • If you can’t work a digital device then we’re not sure how you even found this job post, so we’re gonna assume you know tech and how to write a word document.

  • You not only understand social media, you’re on most of them.

  • Attention to detail - you're an avid proof reader and aware of spellcheck!

Your Responsibilities Will Include:


  • Client management and campaign reporting 

  • Meeting deadlines set by your line manager 

  • Referring to activity schedules on a regular basis and flagging to line manager if you are over/under planned hours 

  • Keeping accurate weekly time sheets


Media Relations and Social Media

  • Developing an understanding of  the UK/International media scene and starting to develop your own contacts 

  • Supporting the team in developing concise media lists and updating them regularly

  • Supporting media sell-ins

  • Ensuring timely response to proactive and reactive PR requests - including flagging Response Source opportunities, #JournoRequest, forward features, and possible reactions to the news. 

  • Develop a solid understanding of different social media channels, their uses and application


PR Content Development

  • Monitoring all forms of media

  • Drafting and scheduling posts for social media channels

  • Creating briefing documents for clients

  • Research



  • Supporting events - internal and for clients

  • Growing the following of CEW

  • Supporting the CEW newsletter and blogs
