The client
ParkBee aims to eliminate parking stress by opening up unused private parking spaces at businesses, apartment complexes, hotels, supermarkets etc. It does so by installing smart technology at these locations and making the parking spaces available via the Parkmobile and Park-line apps.

The challenge
Founded in The Netherlands, ParkBee wanted to announce its entrance in the UK market with a funding announcement aimed at scaling the business here. The announcement was to go live in both countries at the same time.

Our solution
We started our partnership with ParkBee by having a session to refine their messaging for the funding announcement. CEW also took the lead in coordinating the strategy with the company’s agency in The Netherlands so the announcement was made simultaneously in both countries.

We liaised with investors and partners to get quotes for the press release and prepared media materials to go along with it.

Our approach was to pitch an exclusive to TechCrunch and then distribute the press release widely to media covering Business, SME, Investment, Property, Real Estate, Tech and Smart Cities across national and trade publications.

In parallel, we also pitched reactive comments from the co-founders and opinion pieces authored by them to be published after the announcement was live.

We secured an exclusive at TechCrunch, that was followed by coverage in top tech publications such as BDaily, EU Startups, Fortune, and UKTN. In total, we managed to get 46 pieces of online coverage.

On the day of the announcement we also liaised with the press on behalf of the ParkBee team, responding to requests for further information from journalists.
